I am currently waiting to find out if my burnt out 69 wiper motor can be reconditioned, but just wondered if it can't, can I fit a later motor, assembly, arms etc as they are a lot easier to find? 69 motors seem to be like rocking horse dung!! What modifications would it need if any? I just want to get some wipers on before end of June cheers all.

Sorry can't help you with this but someone will be able to I'm sure

'72 and later motors used a column mounted stalk switch and the motor wiring isn't compatible with the dash switch. It can be modified to work but it does add some complexity.

At least you have a Plan "B" if he does get a later motor.
