Hi and thanks for reading. I have bought anoth Bug and I'm looking to fully re-spray my beetle(inside,outside,top and bottom) will be using 2k so how much paint will I need? Looking to do it Java green what is the ral code?

For the code - have you tried asking your paint supplier? I've always just given mine the year and vw paint code and they look it up themselves.

The last time ordered paint they asked me to confirm the paint code as their codes cross referenced.

Are we talking floorpan too or just the shell?

3-4 litres 2K direct gloss depending on make. Some DG is only 1.1/2 coats.

I used ken and Lynn paints fantastic service too.

Are you a first time painter ? I used 7 litres on my bug. But a few panels were repainted twice as I wasn't happy with the Finnish. (First time sprayer)

Thanks for that, painted a good few bikes but not touched a gun in a few years. Hopefully it'll come back to me before I use too much paint, still got plenty of flatting down to do yet so let the slog begin
