Thinking about the aircooled Bug and the aircooled Bus, what are your thoughts about the very modern versions of both? For me I do not like the new Beetle it just doesn't do it for me in the same way I don't like the new Mini, I don't think you can ever replace something that has an historic place in the world with something that really isn't going to stand the test of time.

New beetle is ok. Just ok. New mini no, not at all but the 500 I like.  I was talking to will Sunday and a new, well, 58 plate bay came past and it was wrong to see a new plate on a classic looking bus.

Agreed Danny the new Mini or better known as the BINI just isn't right and for me the new Beetle just isn't right either even the very new although they have tried harder it just isn't the same and anyway how can you improve on such an iconic car as the Beetle or the Mini, yes your right about the Fiat 500 they have been very clever and its a great success perhaps they should teach the Germans a trick or Two   

I think the latest shape of beetle is a massive improvement on the last sahap and although it will never replace the classic beetle, I do think they look quite cool when they are modified. As for the new Danbury camper I think the front grille ruins the look and the prices are extortionate! If I wanted a camper with all mod cons I'd go and buy a t5

The problem with the new version of anything is they are much too big. The 500 was a nice little car, but they went and ruined it with the L and XL. But all are bigger than my escort. Crazy
